Keynote I strongly feel that we as creatives love seeing and hearing about others’ creative processes. Seeing that final work is great, but what I find to be the real treat and truly inspiring is getting a peek behind the scenes. Seeing the thought, the hard work, and craft that goes into making something is invaluable. So with all that, I’ll be sharing a bit of my story, work and things I’ve learned—all through the lens of my creative process. |

Keynote What do the richest man in the world and a schoolchild in a poor country have in common? They’re both studying on their cellphones. Globally, more people have access to cellphones than toilets, and millions of people are using free apps to get out of poverty. In this eye-opening talk, get an inside look at the cutting-edge design that teaches 300 million people for free—from the world’s largest refugee camp to the classrooms of Harvard and beyond, discover how you can use design and technology to solve the world’s biggest problems.

Keynote If you’re like most creative professionals, you hate talking money, whether you are negotiating your salary or a price with a client. But what if you learned to love the money conversation, develop a confident mindset and stop underpricing yourself? In this session, Ilise will reveal the most common mistakes creatives make when negotiating, and provide specific tactics for what to do instead. Be sure to catch Ilise again on Sunday for a Breakout Session on Content Marketing! |

Keynote Designers are increasingly referring to disability in terms of accessibility. But accessibility is only one part of disability; it’s the need. And it is being taught at the exclusion of disability history, disability culture and disability theory. Liz discusses the impact of engaging in disability, not as a problem to be solved, but rather as a discipline and a creative practice. This presentation will teach designers how to design WITH, rather than for disability. |

Keynote Authentic transformation requires willingness to change. It’s not a solitary act—it takes will to make change with others. Evolution is more than biological, too. It’s a gentle yet challenging art that’s been passed on for millennia, rooting us deeply in our development as human beings. Design educator Alison King will highlight the ways that you (yes, you!) can be a source of transformation in others, even if you still have lingering imposter syndrome. |
